Surrounded by historical attractions, Elettra B&B is situated in the heart of Siracusa, a Greek colony founded in 734 b.C.

Described by Cicero as "the greatest Greek city and the most beautiful of them all", along the centuries Siracusa has been the homeland of artists, philosophers and men of science, such as the genius of Archimedes, the writer Elio Vittorini, the archaeologist Paolo Orsi, the poet August Von Platen and many more.

Thanks to its strategic position, Elettra B&B is the ideal accommodation for those who would like to discover such a magical Sicilian town, as our B&B is placed near all the major attractions.

In fact, you can easily walk to Neapolis Archaeological Park, an area filled with archaeological excavations dating back to different periods, which witness the glorious past of the town, such as the Roman amphitheatre, the Latomie del Paradiso stone-quarries which, through the Rope-makers’ Grotto, are connected to the Ear of Dionysius. Finally, the Neapolis Archaeological Park contains the majestic Greek Theatre, where the most famous classical tragedies and comedies are still performed today.

Just two steps away from our structure, you can also find: the Paolo Orsi Archaeological Museum, where you can admire countless archaeological finds together with finest sculptures, like The Venus; the Church of Saint John and its Catacombs, built approximately in 315 b. C.; the Santuario della Madonna delle Lacrime, a Catholic sanctuary dedicated to the Holy Virgin, which hosts thousands of pilgrims a year. At last but not at least, the wonderful Ortigia Island, the historical centre of Siracusa, which is a pearl of a Mediterranean Sea, cradle of civilization.
